Watch the short online-demo and read the full workflow explanation article to learn more about it. The whole method consists of a set of independent and flexible (Python) scripts that can be easily installed (via pip very Windows-friendly setup), integrated into file browsers that allow to integrate arbitrary external tools. Technically, it makes use of filename-based time-stamps and tags by the " filetags "-method which also includes the rather unique TagTrees feature as one particular retrieval method. If anyone interested on this, hydrus do have tag. hydrus and tagspaces seem promising, but i cant find if theyve got tag exclusion in their search options. My syntax is different from TagSpaces: This is a file name - tag1 tag2 tag3.txt This comes with a set of tools for tagging and retrieval quite unlike anything you've seen so far. id like a tagging program that has an in-depth search system - searching multiple tags, as well as excluding images with certain tags from the search if needed.

The method tries to take away the focus on folder hierarchies in order to allow for a retrieval process which is dominated by recognizing tags instead of remembering storage paths. I did develop a file management method that is independent of a specific tool and a specific operating system, avoiding any lock-in effect.

What's weirder is that the documentation has a screenshot that actually shows a space front of the tag deliminator and refers to it as an "optional space." So where is this "optional space" in the settings? Or is there a hidden config file that can be edited to change the tag format?Īny TagSpace users out there that can help me? Or do I need to switch to another solution?

Is that correct? It seems surprising that a software designed for tagging would enforce a single tag format and not allow the user to change it. I've looked through the settings and the documentation and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the tag format. and a bunch of Explorer alternatives) but none of them meet my needs: uses file metadata tags (same as in Windows Explorer) does not create extra or rename existing files in the same directories. I can't stand the way it looks and would prefer to choose my style of tag (e.g., - software). I have tried the usual recommendations (Tabbles, TagSpaces, Tagging for Windows. TagSpaces allows users to create and edit text, markdown and rich text (html) files directly. The lack of a space between "receipt" and the tag is driving me nuts. For example, I've a bunch of videos of recipes I've found in the internet (I download those in case they get down). I came across TagSpaces, but it seems to only tag files in one way, by enclosing your chosen tag within brackets and then attaching it to the end of the filename without spaces: e.g., "receipt.pdf" becomes "receipt.pdf". File organizer / TagSpaces alternative for macOS I have several videos in my iCloud Drive and I'm looking for a way to organize/tag and also the ability to add notes without moving or touching the files. I'm trying to find a way to bulk tag files on my Mac.
